Well designed shelves have two jobs: They need to store what you actually use with practical accessibility, and they need to feel like a beautiful, seamless, and INTERESTING part of the room.

THINGS TO CONSIDER:
◾Decide which everyday items you REALLY need to display within easy reach
◾Select 3-5 key inspirational items you want to incorporate into the display
◾Group similar items together in odd numbers - consider groupings such as function, usage frequency, size, or color.
◾Determine how these shelves and items will be used and move any smaller clutter items into closed or decorative stacking storage

STYLING:
◾Vary the height of objects
◾Leave a little breathing room between items and groupings
◾Select a common thread between groupings to create continuity - consider color, texture, and finish

THE TAKEAWAY:
Organization, Function, and styling do not have to compete. When shelves are planned around the way you ACTUALLY live, they can work hard and still look beautiful doing it.

If smarter storage STYLE AND ORGANIZATION is part of your renovation or refresh plans, explore our design-build and consulting service options through the link in our bio. We'l love to help you reimagine your space!

Hey guys! I’m so excited to finally share this project!

Our lovely returning clients trusted us to remodel FOUR bathrooms in their thoughtfully updated “new traditional” home.

For their daughter’s bathroom, the key was rethinking the footprint. By borrowing underused space from the adjacent bedroom and hallway closet, we created a generous new ensuite with better circulation, personalized storage, and a direct connection to her bedroom.

The material palette balances youthful femininity with a sophistication that can grow with her.

Great design is not always about more. Sometimes, it is about seeing the potential that was there all along.

Have a space that is not working quite right? We’d love to help you rethink what’s possible.

There is something magical about restoring an older home.

It's not about erasing its history—it's about honoring it, preserving its character, and thoughtfully preparing it for its next chapter.

This beautiful 1930s Spanish bungalow in the heart of Hollywood reminded us exactly why we love what we do.

Like many renovations, this journey came with its share of challenges. Record rainfall, city and permit delays, client travel schedules, and even a few lingering rounds of COVID tested every stage of the process. But what never wavered was the trust our clients placed in us and our process. Their patience, kindness, and faith in our team gave us the freedom to navigate every obstacle with care and deliver a home crafted with intention.

Our goal wasn't simply to design a beautiful home - but rather we designed for the rhythm of our clients' lives. Every room was thoughtfully considered to support the way they gather, create, entertain, and find joy in the everyday - where every material, every detail, and every space feels timeless, welcoming, and deeply personal - all while honoring the timeless character of this remarkable home.

After all, great design has never been just about the pretty stuff.

We are incredibly grateful to have been entrusted with such a meaningful investment and chapter in our clients' lives. Swipe to see where this beautiful story began.

If you're preparing for a remodel and want experienced guidance before making important decisions, our 1:1 TALD Virtual Consultations are here to help. We'd be honored to help you navigate your project with clarity and confidence.

There's something so exciting about the beginning of a new week -- especially when it kicks off a new month.

Maybe it's the feeling of a fresh start, (and who doesn't love a fresh start, right?!?), or maybe it's just knowing there are exciting new opportunities and solutions right around the corner, either way...I do love Mondays! And, somehow we're already talking about Fall! Yikes! But also, YAY!

Looking back at July, there's one thing I'm reminded of...that growth isn't built in the big moments. Yes, true, the crystallization of consistent efforts can feel BIG at the time, but it's actually built by the small, consistent, intentional, and ordinary moments:

The daily practice of quiet mornings with Jesus,
The spontaneous conversations with kind strangers,
The small decisions we make every day to choose faith and believe,
A daily commitment to learning new skills
And the disciplined choice to keep showing up, doing our very best for our team and clients, even when progress feels slow.

These are the moments that shape our lives and support expansion.

So this week, and every week, we will practice gratitude over perfection, faith over fear, and progress over pressure.

I hope whatever you're working toward brings you one step closer to where you're meant to be.

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead...and hellooooooo August! xx

As we move through summer, wellness is taking center stage—and our homes should be designed to support that.

Wellness doesn't begin when your home is finished. It begins in the decisions you make during the design process.

A steam shower is one of the most valuable investments you can incorporate into a remodel. Beyond creating a luxurious spa experience, it can promote relaxation, ease muscle tension, support respiratory health, improve circulation, and encourage a daily ritual of slowing down and recharging.

The key? Planning for it early.

Proper waterproofing, ventilation, ceiling design, framing, electrical requirements, proper materials, and equipment placement all need to be considered from the very beginning. These are the behind-the-scenes decisions that not only make a steam shower possible, but ensure it performs beautifully for years to come.

The best design solutions are rarely the ones you see—they're the ones you plan for. When wellness is considered from the start, your home can seamlessly integrate the features that elevate everyday living without costly revisions or compromises later. That's the value of thoughtful planning and experienced guidance.

Thoughtful design isn't just about creating a beautiful home—it's about creating a home that supports the way you live.

If wellness is one of your priorities, let's begin the conversation. Click the link in our bio, complete our project questionnaire, and our team will get back to you and schedule your complimentary introductory call.

When architectural definition -- intelligent, purposeful, and thoughtful spatial planning -- premium materials -- un-compromised craftsmanship -- and clear vision come together...

Design no longer has to prove itself.
It is elegant.
Timeless.
Effortless.

It doesn't shout, “design”.
it doesn’t chase attention or follow fleeting trends.
It quietly, but boldly, earns it; with precision, experience, creativity, and wisdom.

That's where the magic lives. It’s not luck. It’s good design.

Area rugs do more than complete a space—they ground it. They anchor the furniture, soften the atmosphere, add warmth and texture, and quietly tell the story of how a home is meant to feel.

Whether it’s a beautifully worn neutral that layers effortlessly into a timeless palette, or a rich tone that captures the personality and rhythm of your lifestyle, the right rug has the power to transform a room from unfinished to intentional.

One of the most overlooked design details is often one of the most important. Scale, texture, palette, and placement all matter—and getting it right changes everything.

Need help selecting the right area rug for your space? Unsure about sizing, layering, or finding the perfect palette? We can help.

Contact us today to schedule a 1:1 virtual consultation and let us help you create a space that feels beautifully grounded, cohesive, and uniquely yours.

There’s a quiet connection between the kitchen and the way I design it—and it starts long before drawings and selections.

My passion for cooking and baking has always been more than a hobby. It’s where I notice and experience flow, rhythm, family, friends, and function in their most honest form. It’s in the way ingredients move across a counter, how multiple tasks happen at once, how storage and layout either supports or interrupts the process, and how lighting, surfaces, and layout quietly influence everything.

That lived experience has shaped the way I approach kitchen design for my clients. A high-performing kitchen isn’t just beautiful—it anticipates movement, supports real daily rituals, and makes space for both intention and spontaneity. It feels intuitive because it’s been considered from the inside out.

When you’ve cooked for one, baked for a crowd, or worked through a recipe that requires precision, you begin to understand what truly matters: efficiency without compromise, beauty without obstruction, and materials that perform as well as they inspire.

And layered into all of that is life—experiencing firsthand how the kitchen becomes the true heart of everything. It’s where homework gets spread across the island, where friends and family naturally gather, where conversations and dance parties happen while dinner is being made, where content is created in the middle of real life, and where every kind of moment—planned or unplanned—seems to unfold. I’ve lived it, and I design with that experience in mind.

If you’re planning a kitchen renovation or new build, and even if you have plans already completed and you need a second set of eyes on the details, I’d love to help you create a space that not only looks exceptional—but works beautifully for the way you actually live.

Beautiful bathroom design is never just about selecting pretty finishes. Behind every thoughtfully designed space is a careful balance of materiality, construction knowledge, spatial planning, lighting design, plumbing coordination, tile sequencing, waterproofing, and functionality—all working together seamlessly.

From the scale and placement of tile, to layered lighting that supports both ambiance and task, to the thoughtful integration of stone, plumbing fixtures, storage, and circulation—every detail matters. The most successful spaces feel effortless because every decision has been considered long before construction begins.

At FOUR POINT, our design + build approach allows us to guide projects from initial concept through construction and final completion—all under one roof. By bridging design vision with technical execution, we create spaces that are not only elevated and timeless, but also highly functional and built to perform beautifully for years to come.

Luxury is found in the details—and in the experience of having every detail thoughtfully managed for you.

A new day. A new week. A fresh opportunity to create, grow, and embrace the beauty in the little moments — the warm morning light across natural textures, the perfectly layered details, the quiet corners that invite pause and inspiration, and the thoughtful finishes that make a house feel deeply personal and luxurious.

It’s often the smallest details that shape how a space feels and how we live within it. Wishing you a calm, inspired, and intentional start to the beautiful week ahead.

Color is one of the most powerful tools in interior design—it sets the tone, influences mood, and defines how a space is experienced. Yet, the right palette is rarely immediate. It takes patience, layering, and a trained eye to understand how light, materiality, and architecture all interact with color over time.

And color doesn’t always mean paint. It can live in your stone selection, your ceiling tones, your flooring, your textiles, and your finishes—there are many ways to introduce and layer color throughout a space without ever opening a paint can. That said, paint remains one of the most reliable, impactful, and flexible tools for bringing color into a home with clarity and intention.

Thoughtful color selection is not about trends—it’s about restraint, balance, and expertise. When done well, it creates spaces that feel timeless, cohesive, and deeply personal.

Let’s create a palette that feels like home—intentional, inspiring, and entirely yours.

Schedule your 1:1 virtual consultation to discuss how to use color in YOUR home! You'd be amazed at how much we can cover in just one session!

Hi, Friends, we’re back, and although we’ve been away from posting a bit, the past few months have been anything but quiet! In fact, even though we slowed ourselves down to focus on an intentional reset, we’ve been busy!

We’ve been developing exciting projects, working with dream clients, designing new Seasonal Living collections, expanding our business while also fine tuning our strategies and vision; and after 10 years in the same office, finally moving into a new studio! (Can I get an AMEN for faith, slow growth, and patience!)

But beyond the momentum and growth, this season also gave us something deeply personal and invaluable: the opportunity to reconnect with our deeper purpose in life, our faith, and reestablish our vision for our business. We took time to be still; to review, refine, refocus; to reenergize our creativity, learn new skills, and rediscover our truth and the soul of what makes FOUR POINT DESIGN BUILD so meaningful to us - and ultimately to YOU. This process has been grounding, inspiring, empowering, and clarifying — reaffirming why we love what we do.

To our longtime supporters, THANK YOU for sticking with us during the quieter seasons. Your support, encouragement, and trust mean more than you know. And to all of our newcomers - WELCOME! We are very grateful you’re here.

For those just discovering us, FOUR POINT is a full-service design-build studio crafting intentional, elevated spaces that are as beautifully lived in as they are designed; transforming the way people live, dream, gather, work, connect, and rest.

Thank you for being part of our journey. The best is still ahead! Here’s to new beginnings, meaningful design, slowing down, collaborations, being brave, sharing personal moments, peeks behind the scenes, and the seasons and surprises ahead.

There’s something very grounding and comforting about a slow morning and daily rituals — coffee in hand, prayers whispered before the day begins, and intentions set with each sunrise. For me, this is where design meets life — In the quiet corners where peace and important rituals take place and are designed with joyful, purposeful, and supportive intention.

Here’s your friendly reminder to pause - before each day rushes in - give thanks - be kind to yourself - and create beautiful spaces for your daily rituals. 🍂 xx, L
