ASK ME ANYTHING / DESIGN CONSULTATION WITH LAURA MULLER, PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

This is a ONE-HOUR ONE ON ONE video conference session. It will be specific to YOUR project needs, questions, concerns and solutions. I will review your plans, images, and inspiration prior to our session, in preparation. This will help keep our time together focused and intentional. I will use my experience and skill to identify possible challenges and provide potential ways to overcome them. This is a stand-alone service and can be a great benefit not only once, but can be scheduled several times throughout every phase of your project.

This session includes a one-hour 1:1 focused intensive video conference via ZOOM where we will review your questions, documents and dilemmas and determine potential solutions. It also includes our in-house document review and preparation time prior to our call. There are no additional notes or formal drafting included in this session. I will review your plans, images, and inspiration prior to our session, in preparation. This will help keep our time together focused and intentional. I will use my experience and skill to identify possible challenges and provide potential ways to overcome them. This is a stand-alone service and can be a great benefit not only once, but can be scheduled several times throughout every phase of your project.

To help you get the most out of your new build, remodel, or addition project experience, I will assist you in discovering and identifying challenges and issues while the project is still “on paper” with the intent to help you avoid and prevent unexpected additional costs, re-do’s, regrets and help to reduce stress. I will also help you define and articulate any of the revisions, in order to help you communicate effectively with your architect, designer, and your construction teams. Designing and building your dream home is a huge financial investment, and it is also a very emotional one. The sooner you hire an interior designer, the better your project success and results will be. I will use my skill and experience in design, architectural space planning and construction to help you determine potential challenges and offer prompt solutions that you can execute with your onsite team.

WHY ME? With over 40 years in the business of design and construction, I have had to make countless spontaneous and thoughtful decisions during all project phases, from concept to turnkey. I have collaborated with some of the top architects and builders in Los Angeles and have an expanded wealth of wisdom that only comes from hands-on experience in the field. I am well trained and have a keen eye for details and a sense of intuition that can quickly identify spatial, design, and construction issues. Combine that with my practical experience, and I can produce prompt potential β€œactionable” solutions for your project challenges.

Prior to our consulting session, it is important for you to organize all your questions. Here are some suggestions as you PRE-PLAN your project and get ready for your consultation session:

  • Make a list of all your questions, concerns, and/or challenges in order of priority.
  • Pull together your visual images. You can create a mood board, Pinterest board, a slideshow, a powerpoint, or a word document which includes images of your room, any EXISTING or NEW furniture you wish to focus on during our session.
  • Upload any existing architectural and/or construction plans, elevations, drawings (CAD or hand drawn), and/or reports that will help communicate your existing and planned future conditions.
  • If you don’t have any existing drawings, do your best to note as many dimensions of your existing space as possible, or furniture you wish to discuss. If you need help to measure, please note that specifically in your questionnaire and we will send you a measuring template to help you grab some of the key dimensions to upload prior to our session.

Once you are organized and have selected and booked your session, you will receive a receipt of purchase and a required questionnaire via email to fill out and a link to upload your documents and images. Please give yourself enough time to fill out the questionnaire, upload all your information, images, documents, etc., and properly prepare for our session.

All our consulting workshop sessions take place on ZOOM. Just prior to your scheduled session, we will send you a ZOOM link which will link you to our call. You must download ZOOM prior to our call, and we highly suggest, (if you are not already familiar with ZOOM) to take it for a practice run ahead of our session.

All our zoom sessions are considered “workshops” and are unique to each individual, therefore, there is no set process for how we will utilize our time. These sessions are customized to fit your particular needs.
