Are these consulting sesssions the same as e-design?
Our one-on-one intensive consulting sessions are conducted online only, and during our video consultation we will offer our guidance, support, direction, and when appropriate, solid recommendations to homeowners who are managing their own projects and have a good sense of the questions they need to address. While e-design services may include virtual meetings or consultations, and possible recommendations if appropriate, e-deisgn is focused on providing a specific set of actionable deliverables (i.e., drawings, resources, layout) that can be executed by the homeowner.
+
How are these consultations different from full service interior design?
Our one-on-one intensive consulting sessions are stand alone services, whereas full service design involves hiring an interior design firm for the duration of the project, thru the concept phase to completion, and will require a contract.

can i cancel my consultation? what is the cancellation policy?
We understand that schedules can change unexpectedly, so we offer an opportunity to reschedule your consultation up to 72 hours before your scheduled consultation. This is a non-refundable service. Your new scheduled consultation is subject to availability, but your credit will be preserved for 90 days and can be used in full at a later date within that time. If you wish to book your consultation past the 90 days, a $100.00 rebooking fee will be required. If you cancel your consultation within the 72 hours prior to your consultation, you will be charged in full and any rescheduling opportunities will be declined. Should you need to cancel your consultation prior to the 72 hour cut off, please email us at Support@4ptdb.com and we will assist you.

+
what type of topics are not included in a consultation?
Typically, our consulting sessions will include a wide and vast wealth of support and information which can be shared online during a session. However, due to the nature of our consulting sessions being a stand-alone service, they do not include:
Sharing any custom vendors, contractors, or other personal contacts.
Providing any precise measurements which must be verified on site by your general contractor, contractor(s), or installation and fabrication trades.
In-person project management or on-site construction oversight.
No new CAD drafting or tangible architectural or construction drawings beyond the sketch mock up notes as listed in specific consulting services will be generated as part of these sessions.
+
can i ask follow up questions once my consultation session has concluded?
Prior to each consulting session, we will review all your uploaded notes, images, questions and concerns. In order to truly benefit from our intensive consulting sessions, our preparation is key! We will respond to your concerns as a priority first, and whatever questions you have during that hour, we will provide responses. However, if you have any additional questions after our consulting session is complete, we invite you to book another consultation!
+
what is the best way for me to prepare for my consultation?
Prior to our consulting session, it is important for you to organize all your questions. Here are some suggestions as you prepare:
Make a list of all your questions, concerns, and/or challenges in order of priority.
Pull together your visual images. You can create a mood board, Pinterest board, a slideshow, a powerpoint, or a word document which includes images of your room, any EXISTING or NEW furniture you wish to focus on during our session.
Upload any existing architectural and/or construction plans, elevations, drawings (CAD or hand drawn), and/or reports that will help communicate your existing and planned future conditions.
If you don’t have any existing drawings, do your best to note as many dimensions of your existing space as possible, or furniture you wish to discuss. If you need help to measure, please note that specifically in your questionnaire and we will send you a measuring template to help you grab some of the key dimensions to upload prior to our session.
+
will one hour really be enough time to make a difference?
Yes! Absolutely! Given our over 60 years of hands-on experience in the interior design and construction business, we can spot issues and develop solutions VERY quickly. We will use our technical skills and intuitive wisdom to help guide you in the right direction.
+
can i bring others to my consultation session?
Yes. You can bring anyone who you feel would be key to your moving forward, (i.e., your contractor, architect, spouse/partner) to your zoom call. Please specify this in your questionnaire so we can review and make recommendations as to who would be appropriate to join.
PLEASE NOTE: There are times when inviting others to join may NOT be appropriate or helpful. Perhaps joining the first round could be premature for some guests and would best for them to join in a separate review session, once we have had an opportunity to define the challenges and apply solutions first. Typically, inviting a professional team is done for larger project scales, where multiple parties would benefit from the opportunity to review notes and solutions.
+
what is the best device to use for my consultation?
It is best to use a desktop or laptop for your session in order to fully optimize your experience. You will need to download ZOOM prior to your consultation. If you wish to “walk around” the space, you may want to use your laptop.
+
can i record my session?
Only the HOST can record your meeting. However, a copy of your recorded session can be provided at the Host’s discretion. Should you wish to use your phone to record the session, we ask that you please notify your Consultant and please ask permission prior to your session.
+
can i purchase a consultation as a gift?
Absolutely! You can purchase any of our consulting sessions as a gift certificate for anyone who you believe could benefit from one of our sessions.
+
what if i am not satisfied with my consulting session?
We understand that every experience is unique and some issues may require a more in-depth review. We feel very confident that our over 60 years of hands-on experience, expertise, education, and skill set can advise on most interior design and construction related issues, and topics. However, due to the nature of this type of stand alone service, we cannot guarantee that you will be satisfied with all the advice you receive. We cannot take responsibility for any results, actions, and/or any of the decisions made following our session or any recommendations rendered. That said, we do not offer refunds based on your level of personal satisfaction with your consulting session. We feel extremely confident that we can provide you with positive mindful actionable steps, and take great care in providing an extremely comprehensive review of all your questions, uploads, and concerns.
+
am i charged in full at the time of booking?
Yes. You will pay for your selected consulting session in full at the time of your booking and check out. You will have the opportunity to select from our schedule at the time you check out, and your payment will be charged. You will receive a confirmation email and receipt of payment.
+
how does the consultation workshop session process work?
Once you have selected and booked your session, you will receive a receipt of purchase and a required questionnaire via email to fill out. Please give yourself enough time to fill out the questionnaire, upload all your information, images, documents, etc., and properly prepare for our session. All our consulting workshop sessions take place on ZOOM. Just prior to your scheduled session, we will send you a ZOOM link which will link you to our call. You must download ZOOM prior to our call, and we highly suggest, (if you are not already familiar with ZOOM) to take it for a practice run ahead of our session. All our zoom sessions are considered “workshops” and are unique to each individual, therefore, there is no set process for how we will utilize our time. These sessions are customized to fit your particular needs.
