Excited to get the new week started! We're off to site visits, design presentations, shop visits, and the finishing work has begun on several projects. PRAYING for continued sunshine and warmer temps this week so we can also move our exterior projects forward! I admit, it's been SO great (and cozy) to have all the rain here is Cali and the hills are stunningly green, BUT (unfortunately) when projects become somewhat paralyzed on-and-off for so many weeks, it becomes stressful for everyone and the schedules get crazy! ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ So, here's to sunshine, teamwork, and pushing full speed ahead! Happy Friday, friends! Did you know that sometimes all it takes to create your own dream space, is selecting, displaying, and USING things you truly LOVE. Sometimes, we (me included) can get seduced by the cheaper versions of the things you love, as a substitute. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ Unfortunately, that usually only results in a pile of things you don't really love in hopes that it will take the place of the thing you really want (which, at times, can end up costing the same thing as the one thing you really wanted). ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ My tip: BEWARE and RESIST the temptation to "fill up" a space, and practice PATIENCE. It's always best to wait and get the one thing you LOVE that brings you JOY, and not to settle for things that are of lesser quality that merely add clutter. Let's talk details! Sharing one of our most challenging and favorite bathroom projects ever. The challenging angles of this space was due to the fact that we had strict set backs on the angled property lines, and our goal was to squeeze in a brand new primary en suite into this whole home remodel and expansion. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ As you can see, our creative solutions worked! It was literally down to 1/8" details to get everything code compliant AND luxurious. We utilized every square inch of space to make sure that everything functioned beautifully. We managed to get ALL their wish list items into the design and the result is a #cleanfreshmodern luxury bath which feels open, bright, airy, and charming. ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ For flooring, we chose ceramic brick style tile installed in a herringbone pattern, light linen shades, and for warmth, a neutral wood vanity with a touch of traditional detailing that works perfectly with the vintage style tub filler and free standing tub.
