This delightful vintage inspired bungalow is located in SoCal’s Larchmont Village. Small in size but BIG on impact, this beauty has been through a breathtaking makeover. Born out of a strong client vision, the mission here was to capture the period details of the original 1920′s bungalow design while integrating the unique and creative design style and taste of the owner. Rustic, deeply personal family items and found pieces were placed and integrated strategically so as to deliver a cohesive, high functioning space that brings in tons of light!
For the kitchen, new windows that match seamlessly with the original re-purposed windows were designed and installed using some of the original home’s hardware, while some were found at LA’s most famous vintage hot spots. Reclaimed wood floors and state of the art appliances were used while a wonderful vintage Northstar refrigerator sits proudly in the new custom cabinets. The custom rolling ladder is a stunning highlight as is the custom built barn door (made with love by the owners using hand-picked reclaimed wood and a unique vintage hardware pull). Installed with new (but rustic in style) barn door hardware, the door glides with ease. We approached the bathroom in the same way.
Finally, the client’s vintage and family heirlooms were sprinkled about the space to create a cool, whimsical, personal space that I am sure will delight for years to come! This space is truly the result of a strong collaboration, and the client’s unique vision and creative touches. A charming masterpiece.

“This has to be one of the most beautiful, coziest kitchens we have ever seen!”
